CLUB VISION FOR 2009 - 2010
Based on 3 Board Meetings and 1 Meeting Sub Committee Chairmen the following has been proposed by the Incoming Team:
Club Service
- Increase membership to 100 in coming year.
- Refurbish the AJC Bose Rd. Median & put Rotary Glow Sign.
- RLI will be organized during the year.
- Website will be updated regularly.
- History & Archives of the Club to be prepared & launched.
- Bulletin to be made more informative.
- Introduction of Awards for “Outstanding Mahanagar Rotarians”, “Best Debutant Rotarian”.
- Publish Brochure about Club Activities & Achievements to help raise funds especially in the Corporate Sector (CSR).
- India Haat lifestyle fair will be organized from 14-16 January 2009..
- Create awareness about Rotary by gifting subscription of Rotary News / The Rotarian to at least two schools for their libraries.
Community Service
- Set up Rotary Mahanagar Netralaya
- Kick off Project on 1st July ’08 with Mega Health & Literacy Camp.
- Health Checkup Camp for Senior Citizens is planned on 10th May’09 to observe. Senior Citizen Day of 8th May..
- 1000 IOL to be done during the year.
- Continue with the project - Toilets in KMC Schools for Girls student & teachers and construct at least 5 nos. from Club funds and more with sponsorships or jointly with other Clubs.
- Mega Micro Credit Project on 15th February 2009.
- Carry out Heart Surgeries under M/G.
- Continue supporting Udayer Pathey – Creating Doctors.
- Support children of prison inmates by providing education and sustenance help.
- Enhance activities with our Interact Club.
- Formation of another Interact Club and one Rotaract Club.
- Start Toy Bank in underprivileged schools and paedeatric wards of NGO & Govt. run hospitals
- Start libraries in NGO & Govt. run schools
- Participate in RYLA Camp.
- Refurbish Schools for less privileged.
- Setup Water Kiosks in Barrabazaar & Dalhousie Areas.
- Start Evening Schools.
- Focus on children at risk, girl education.
- Acquire Land for Multipurpose Mahanagar Building.
- Utilise our Ambulance “Navajeeban”.
Vocational Service
- Continue Vocational Training for Nursing Ayahs, Motor Car Driving and Lab Technicians.
- Vocational Excellence Awards in February 2009.
- Promote and support Self Help Groups (SHG) of ladies.
- Distribute 50 Van Rickshaws & 50 Sewing Machines on Micro Credit.
- Print 4 Way Test Message on our stationery & communication material. Promote 4 Way Test in schools.
International Service
- MAHANAGAR – a 100% PHF Club.
- Host One GSE Team.
- Per Capita Contribution - Our Target $100 per Member.
- Host / Co-Host TRF Meet.
- Can recommend name of Past President for Goodwill Mission.
- Apply for Matching Grants in Micro Credit, KMC School Toilet Project, Healing Little Hearts, IOL and Eye Hospital.
- Apply for a grant under DIN for Eye Hospital apparatus
- Establish a partner Club relationship with an overseas Rotary Club.
