CLUB VISION FOR 2007 - 2008

Club Service

• Increase membership to 100 in coming year.
• Refurbish the AlC Bose Rd. Median & put Rotary Glow Signs.
• Target to induct at least 3 Lady Members during this year.
• RLI is being organized on 26th August'07.
• Website will be updated & made more dynamic.
• History & Archive of the Club to be prepared & launched.
• New Club Roster to be made by 31 stJuly'07.
• Bulletin to be made more informative.
• Major Fellowship dates finalized.
• Introduction of Awards for "Outstanding Mahanagar Rotarians", "Best Debutant Rotarian".
• Introduction of Feedback Forms, Member ID Cards.
• New Avenues of Fund Raising identified ego Fairs & Exhibitions.
• Publish Brochure about Club Activities & Achievements to help raise funds especially in the Corporate Sector (CSR).

Community Service

• Kick off Project on 1st luly'07 with Health & Hygiene seminar, Literacy Camp and Film show for Children
• Polio corrective surgeries.
• Launch our flagship project "Creating Healing Hands" in association with Asia Heart Foundation on 14th luly 07 at our Installation.
• Mega Health Camp being organized on 16th December'07.
• Health Checkup Camp for Senior Citizens is planned on 4th May'08 to observe. Senior Citizen Day of 8th May.
• 1200 IOL to be done during the year.
• 2000 School bags with stationery to be distributed during the year.
• On 1st December'07, being World Aids Day. Awareness Program on Aids is being organized with other clubs.
• Mega Micro Credit Project on I 8th August'07.
• Carry out 100 Heart Surgeries. Fund raising event in mid September with fellow Clubs in Dist 3290-PALAK Show.
• Distribute 35 Van Rickshaws & 45 Sewing Machines on Micro Credit.
• Enhance activities with out Interact Club.
• Career Fair is being planned in December/January.
• Formation of a Rotaract Club.
• Restart Toy Bank.
• Rotary Village Vision (RCC):
• At RCC Boral we plan to refurbish 2 Class Rooms, Toilets, Distribute School Bags, 5 Sewing Machines & give Vocational Training also plan to distribute 15 Van Rickshaws.
• Examine the option of another RCC.
• Participate in RYLA Camp.
• Refurbish Schools for less privileged.
• Continue CLE Program.
• Setup Water Kiosks in Barrabazaar & Dalhousie Areas.
• Initiate Pilot Project on Rain Water Harvesting.
• Installation of Sanitary Latrines at RCC/Needy Rural & Bustee Areas.
• Start Evening Schools.
• Focus on children at risk, girl education.
• Make at least 4 Libraries at KMC or other needy Schools.
• Distribute Computers with Internet facilities.
• Special Task Force to identify Ute racy Projects - constituted.
• Acquire Land for Multipurpose Mahanagar Building.
• Utilise our Ambulance "Navajeeban".

Vocational Service

• Start Vocational Training for Deaf & Dumb, Ayas, Jail inmates, Lab Technicians.
• Vocational Awards on 31st  October'07.
• Print4- Way Test Message on our stationery & communication material.
• Install Rotary 4 way Test donation boxes at retail locations of members and friends to propagate message of Rotary and raise funds.

International Service

• Host One GSE Team.
• Per Capita Contribution - Our Target $1 00 per Member.
• Add 10 PHF Member's to Mahanagar.
• Add O1 Major Donor.
• Can recommend name of Past President for Goodwill Mission.
• Host/Co-Host TRF Meet.
• Apply for Matching Grants in Micro Credit, Oral Deaf (Hearing Aid)
• Track progress of Matching Grant Application for Healing Little Heart.

Continuity again is important, and my team pledges that we shall carry forward and accelerate the good tasks of our predecessors. The vision of the club needs to be beyond 12 months and we are going to work on it. A CLP comprising of a vision of at least 3 years needs to be embarked upon and this will also be one of our prime areas of focus at RC Calcutta Mahanagar this year.
