The prisons in India and the poor treatment of the prisoners is well known. What is not so well known is the inhuman treatment that the family of the prisoner has to suffer for no fault of theirs. The prisoners family members try their best to continue the education of their children, but most often these children have to abandon studies and take up work as domestic help or labourer or rag picker or such other jobs to support the family. In several cases, the children are also being forced to be engaged in illegal or immoral activities. The children also have dreams to go to school, have books to read, clean clothes to wear and stay healthy.

(Prison Our club in association with the Department of Correctional Services Department) and West Bengal Police have launched this projects where we adopt the children and help them go I to proper schools, and provide proper uniforms, school bags, books etc.. They will grow up and develop as normal children. With this project we bring smiles and hope for that section of the society, which otherwise is ostracized.
